Council approves recruiter agreement allowing Davron to source city engineer candidates

Greenville City Council voted to authorize an agreement with Davron to support recruitment for the vacant city engineer position. Staff said Davron maintains a database of over 40,000 candidates and only requires payment if the city hires a candidate the firm refers.
"This agreement does not require us to pay any services until a candidate is selected," a staff presenter said. The stated fee is a one-time payment equal to 21% of the offered salary; if the placed candidate leaves before 90 days the city receives a prorated rebate. Council approved the resolution with the deletion of a jurisdiction clause in the contract language as recommended by staff and the city attorney.
