Trustee Andrea Hoheisel recommended the policies for approval and the Board carried the item. The Board also approved the Shasta Union High School District goals to align with the evaluation process. Associate Superintendent of Business Services David Flores reviewed the monthly financial report, noting certificated salaries are tracking as expected, classified salaries are running slightly ahead of projections—potentially due to overtime—and that expenditures for books, supplies and capital outlay largely reflect categorical program spending. Flores said staff are developing the adopted budget and expect to present it to the Board in about four weeks.
The Board set its next regular meeting for June 9 and a special meeting on June 17. Trustee Hoheisel asked trustees to submit suggested future agenda items to her or Superintendent Owen Crosby.
