District reports enrollment and testing trends; AP participation rises to 574

Principals reported school‑level data: Enterprise High School Principal Ryan Johnson said fourth‑quarter deficiency notices for D’s and F’s decreased from 438 to 218 and noted 13 students earned the Seal of Biliteracy with more than 70% of students improving on the ELPAC. Shasta High Principal Heath Bunton reported AP testing participation rose from 470 last year to 574 this year and CAASPP participation approached 100% with staff support.
Foothill High Principal Kevin Greene said enrollment has increased from 1,410 to 1,570 and that discipline and deficiency rates are improving even as transfer numbers grow; he also described ongoing facilities discussions including wrestling and portables. District leaders said the enrollment figures provide a preliminary basis for budget conversations and that staff continue to monitor multi‑year projections.
