Gregory Faust, Town Administrator, updated the Selectboard on multiple capital and renovation projects. He said Bristol West water‑line construction has progressed from Elm Street to Taylor Street and that the Bristol East water‑line project is now second on the lead service line list, which could yield 50% forgiveness of eligible costs under state programs. Faust said the Town has the option of seeking State approval to combine the West and East projects to obtain more favorable contractor quotes but noted the Town is currently under‑bonded and would need the State’s approval to merge the projects.
Faust also reported that Holley Hall is expected to be ready for re‑occupation by the end of August. At the Library, asbestos remediation is complete and PCB work is wrapping up; Faust said the project secured an additional $300,000+ in grant funding to cover these remediation costs. He provided current financial information and signaled that more formal reporting and planning materials will follow as projects proceed.
