Board approves architect and surveying contracts; developer fees to rise July 1

Associate Superintendent David Flores recommended and the Board approved contract amendments with Nichols, Melburg & Rossetto for Enterprise High School culinary arts architect services and a contract with Pace Engineering for surveying services tied to the baseball and softball field repair and lighting project. Mr. Flores also presented the Annual Developer Fee Report and said fees will increase effective July 1: "residential construction $2.07 to $2.15, commercial/industrial construction $.34 to $.35 and mini storage construction $.06 to $.07." The Board approved the Land Purchase Agreement to sell a small parcel behind Shasta High School to the City of Redding; the surplus declaration and intent to sell had been advertised as required by law.
These actions move several capital projects into the procurement and design phases and adjust developer fees for the next two years; trustees recorded unanimous approval on the related motions where votes were recorded.
