Robert, the staff presenter, said the project was put out to bid with 17 companies responding and bids ranging from about $718,000 to $3.1 million; Oaks Construction’s bid was $764,000 and the company is already performing similar fencing work at another reservoir. “Oak Construction came in at 764,000,” he said, and added that budgeted funds are available to start the work. Council moved to approve the resolution and it passed unanimously.
