The resolution, read into the record by the clerk, specifies the elimination of six elementary teacher positions effective at the end of the 2025–26 school year (06/30/2026); the lead bookkeeper position eliminated effective 06/30/2026; the maintenance technician and outdoor grounds maintenance positions eliminated effective 04/06/2026; and one custodian position eliminated effective 04/06/2026. Administration said two affected teachers were probationary and would not have continuing-contract placement; other continuing-contract employees would be offered leave or reassignment where possible. An administrator acknowledged the personal impact: “this impacts 10 people's livelihood and income.”
The resolution was moved and seconded and adopted by roll call; the clerk recorded a 7–0 vote in favor. Administration described the reductions as necessary to align with a target of approximately $700,000 in operating-debt reductions and said it would monitor staffing and operations after the reductions take effect.
