The Town of Montgomery Selectboard on Jan. 26 authorized up to $18,000 from the town's ARPA Reserve to fund the right-of-way phase of the Streetscape Project. Board members said the Streetscape work faces an estimated $81,000 funding shortfall to complete right-of-way work before applying for the State Bike/Ped Program and additional Northern Borders Regional Commission funding.
Mark Brouillette made the motion to authorize up to $18,000 from ARPA Reserve for the right-of-way phase; Daniel Khan seconded and the motion passed unanimously, 4-0. The board noted this is intended to bridge the gap only until state and regional funding decisions are in place.
