Superintendent Chad Willis recommended an approximate 4.99% increase to the district's tax levy, but told the board that because the district is tax-capped the allowable levy will be limited to 2.9% plus any new construction. The recommendation and the cap explanation were presented during the superintendent's report at the Dec. 15 meeting.
Following the superintendent's presentation, the board voted to approve and adopt the 2025 tax levy by voice vote, 6-0. The adoption followed routine motions and occurred after the board reconvened from closed session. The motion carried unanimously; no roll-call dissent was recorded. The levy adoption was paired on the agenda with other year-end actions including approval of the annual audit.
