The board discussed abandoned and nuisance properties in the village. Minutes state the Wickert building's taxes have not been paid, which the board considered sufficient to classify the property as abandoned; because the building is commercial, trustees said an asbestos inspection will be required and a letter will be sent to the owner notifying them of the issues.
Trustees also noted that Scott Parker bought Netty Paisley's property and is undertaking remediation work. Attorney Laegeler reported on the Millers' matter: a skip trace on the Millers' children has been completed and forwarded to Terrill Title; if the children cannot be located, a judicial deed was discussed as an option.
