Village of Industry schedules special meeting to review water-meter proposals

Doug of Benton & Associates presented a proposal for engineering and technical services for the Village of Industry’s water replacement project and outlined a timetable for vendor demonstrations. Two of three meter companies are ready to present; demonstrations are scheduled for March 11 from 2–5 p.m., and the board scheduled a special meeting on March 18 at 6:30 p.m. to select a bid.
The board emphasized that the Village is not bound to accept the lowest-cost proposal because “other factors are being considered,” and said those factors will be weighed at the March 18 selection meeting. The presentations and the special meeting set a near-term timeline for decisions affecting the water replacement project.
