Attorney Laegeler told the board he had sent a draft settlement agreement to the Millers under which the village would not pursue litigation in exchange for the Millers signing the property over. Superintendent Gorsuch spoke with the Millers, who agreed to deed the property to the Village to avoid litigation.
Trustee Thompson moved to authorize up to $2,500 to pay a title company for the transfer; Trustee Wheeler seconded and the motion carried. Attorney Laegeler recommended using a title company to complete the transfer.
