Participants asked how the feasible alternatives will protect historic features between the depot and the tower. Ajmal Puyegar said the study team is flagging the historic parcel as a key sensitivity and will screen concepts for impacts, coordinating with stakeholders including the historical society and Santa Clara University.
Atisha Vashne noted the historical society will have interest because the train depot is a historic structure. City staff and consultants said they will conduct stakeholder interviews with public agencies and property owners and will present initial concepts to advisory groups for feedback.
