Ajmal Puyegar said the study phase will narrow alternatives and that the city will pursue grant opportunities but does not yet have a firm schedule for environmental clearance or construction.
"Unfortunately, there's not a specific timeline as of now," Ajmal said, adding that staff will present findings to City Council and then determine next steps and funding approaches. The team indicated it will apply for as many regional grant opportunities as feasible once a preferred alternative is identified.
