Jerome TIF ordinances remain pending after productive school board meeting, no vote taken

The Village of Jerome Board discussed Ordinances 26-08 (Approving the Tax Increment Redevelopment Plan and Project for the Jerome TIF), 26-09 (Designating the Jerome TIF), and 26-10 (Adopting Tax Increment Financing for the Jerome TIF) but did not take action at the May 21 meeting. President Mike Lopez said the issue remains pending while the village awaits input from the school board following a productive meeting earlier in the week.
The minutes record President Lopez stating: "there is no action tonight and Attorney Brokaw, Adam and himself had a productive meeting with the members of the School Board last Thursday and we expect to hear from them shortly." Attorney Jason Brokaw also noted that the board will not act on the water-rate-related ordinance (27-03) at this time because Benton Engineering requires additional information to recommend rates. No vote or ordinance language was adopted at the meeting.
