Council approves road closures for Sept. 13 Rock the Block concert

The City Council approved road closures to support the Rock the Block concert on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Firehouse. Commissioner John Miles moved the closures and Commissioner Zachary Crawford seconded; the motion listed closures on East Arch (State to Jefferson), Jefferson (East Arch to East Pearl), the alleyway from East Prairie to East Arch, and a section of alleyway from East Arch to East Pearl. The council voted unanimously.
Officials noted the closures will begin in the midafternoon and continue until approximately 11:00 p.m. on the night of the event. The council recorded no conditions or amendments to the closures during the meeting (see SEG 008–SEG 009).
