The Board approved renting a street sweeper for one week in April at a cost of $4,500 to accelerate cleanup of streets Public Works said were not being fully cleared by the village's existing unit.
Public Works staff explained the village sweeper "does not do a good enough job on several streets," and the rental would allow crews to clear affected roads within a week. Trustee Joe Cannella moved the measure; Trustee Katrina Christofilakos seconded and the board recorded an all-AYE roll call vote.
The rental is a one-week operational expense intended to address immediate maintenance needs; trustees recorded the vote and instructed staff to schedule rental in April.
