The Village of Jerome Board of Trustees voted unanimously March 5 to adopt Ordinance 26-19, updating the village Water Department ordinance.
Attorney Jason Brokaw told trustees that "some are state laws that need to be updated and the others are updating the costs to today's standards." Trustee Leigh Irons made the motion to approve, which Trustee Katrina Christofilakos seconded; the minutes record the roll call vote as all AYE and the motion passed.
The ordinance update was presented as a mix of mandatory state-driven edits and local adjustments to bring fees and cost recovery into alignment with current expenses. The board did not record amendments during the meeting; the ordinance therefore passed as presented and staff will proceed with implementing the revised administrative provisions.
