Redfield council approves $85,000 bid for 2020 loader/backhoe

The Redfield City Council on Feb. 3 approved a bid of $85,000 from RDO Equipment to purchase a 2020 loader/backhoe. The award followed the bid opening where RDO was the sole bidder; the motion to accept the bid was made by Jessi Lewis and seconded by Matthew Weller.
At the same meeting the council also approved the CMH Hospital minutes dated Jan. 27, 2025 and voted to adopt routine departmental reports placed on the consent calendar. Councilors approved those consent items by motion (including temporary licenses for a March 7, 2025 Pheasant Banquet). The loader/backhoe award was recorded as part of the council’s business during the Feb. 3 session.
