Trappe announces Fire Department carnival July 31–Aug. 2; Main Street to close for Aug. 2 parade

Trappe — President Newnam read a Fire Department flyer at the July 2 meeting announcing a carnival July 31 through Aug. 2, with a parade planned for Aug. 2 that will close Main Street. "The parade will be held on August 2nd and Main Street will be closed during the parade," the minutes state.
Town Administrator Erin Braband told the council the street sweeper will be on curbed streets July 29 and that public works should prepare the streets at least two weeks before that date. There was no further discussion recorded in the minutes.
