Administrators report steady enrollment, curriculum work and student events

District administrators provided routine updates across buildings. Kimber Larson said elementary enrollment is steady, RULER is progressing and a family RULER/move night is set for Feb. 27; about 30 families had RSVP'd for kindergarten roundup. Larry King reported slightly lower middle‑school enrollment and adjustments to intervention groupings; two students will go to the county spelling bee and a job fair is planned. Erik Borne said Safe Passage presented to PE and Health classes on Feb. 5–6 and the Illinois Youth Survey responses are pending; Coach Paul Muchmore will have his last home game after 33 years.
Matthew Swanson reported two para openings and preschool counts of 16 (morning) and 9 (afternoon), and noted mobile‑dentist visits that screened 25 students on Jan. 22 and 13 more on Feb. 3. Jolene Miller described curriculum committee scheduling and a Title II grant amendment to send three teachers to the Illinois Reading Council conference in Springfield. These updates were presented for the board's information and did not require immediate board action.
