Superintendent Chad Willis summarized several district operational matters during his report. He told trustees the IRS lien issue stemmed from payments that were made, then reversed and redeposited, which left the payments classified as late; the district has requested an abatement and Willis said the lien should be removed in about 30 days. "The IRS Tax Lien has been taken care of," he said, noting, "We do owe them $300."
Willis also said Chancelight has expressed interest in extending its lease and the district is seeking input on a 5%–6% rent increase. He reported staff is reviewing the district's arrangement with Wrigley's after concerns that buses were not being repaired in a timely manner, and that the baseball field work will proceed when weather allows so it is ready for the season. Trustees did not record changes in direction beyond requesting staff follow up as needed.
