Principals report steady enrollment, RULER rollout and freshman turnout at Indian Creek

Kimber Larson, elementary principal, said "Back to school night was held tonight," that enrollment has remained consistent, and that the school will continue essential standards and RULER social-emotional learning; a family RULER night is scheduled for Sept. 5. Larry King, middle school principal, reported the middle school is down 10 students from last year and staff are reaching out to families about truancy and absenteeism. Erik Borne, high school principal, said home visits to the class of 2029 were positive and reported that 64 of the 72 freshmen attended orientation.
Principals also listed new staff members across the district, including guidance and classroom hires, and noted that final assessments will return in December. The updates provide a snapshot of preparations and early-year priorities across district schools.
