The Indian Creek board acted on several personnel items when it reconvened after closed session on Aug. 11, approving hires and accepting previously listed resignations.
By motion, the board approved the employment of Sara Lambert as the elementary school speech-language pathologist. Matt Swanson, director of special education, had reported earlier that "Sara Lambert has been hired as a SLP for the elementary school," noting ongoing recruitment for paraprofessional positions. The board also approved Cameron Russell as assistant varsity boys basketball coach (the motion carried with one abstention recorded by Josh Merchant), Veronica Schultz as full-time bus driver, Joshua Bertran as elementary PM custodian, and Dustin Miller as head middle school baseball coach.
In a separate personnel action the board approved a salary increase for District Technology Director Peter Komitas to a new annual salary of $95,000. All motions were approved by voice vote with the typical roll-call pattern recorded as six yes, one absent, except where an abstention was noted on the coaching appointment.
The employment approvals follow the consent-agenda resignations approved earlier in the meeting and reflect routine staffing adjustments ahead of the school year.
