Staff presented a proposed revocable license agreement permitting Helios Charging, Inc. to install and maintain a Level 3 electric vehicle charging station in the parking lot adjacent to the Visitors Center. The agreement requires the licensee to share 20% of net revenue from charging fees with the Town. Daniel Benhammou of Helios Charging asked what restroom solution would meet Town needs; the Town Manager and Council agreed a vaulted restroom with 24-hour public access should be included and that the license include compliance with the Town’s dark-sky lighting regulations.
Council approved the license agreement with the conditions discussed. The Town Manager said staff would add contract language addressing restroom installation and dark-sky compliance. Benhammou indicated Helios would partner with the Town on costs for ongoing maintenance.
