The Ridgway Town Council approved two event-rights-of-way requests on April 8. Mary Mentz, Special Projects Coordinator for Sherbino/Weehawken, presented maps for La Fete de la Musique and Rally Thru the Alley/Ridgway 1K and the council voted to approve the use of public rights-of-way; Councilmember Kroger abstained from that vote.
Erik Fallenius described the newly formed Ouray Advocates for Kids Foundation (OAK) and requested Town roads for access to County Roads 5 and 24 for a July 25 gravel-ride fundraiser with 22- and 44-mile routes, ending with food and music at Hartwell Park; the council unanimously approved the OAK special-event request.
