Board approves pursuing bids for Park/Library lot improvements and discusses overnight parking fines

Attorney Jason Brokaw advised the board that imposing fines or administrative hearings for overnight parking may require legal steps; Brokaw said the Police Department could ask vehicles to move or have vehicles towed under existing authority. The Board moved to pursue bids for paving and striping with site plans and storm-drain inlet work to create an ADA-compliant lot.
Trustee Christofilakos also proposed an ordinance to impose fines for consistent overnight parking; the attorney said he would research whether fines should be enforced via an administrative hearing or towing. Signs indicating parking rules are already in place, she said.
