Mayor Kevin Stork announced Aug. 20 that the front entrance of the Jerseyville Police Department is temporarily closed due to construction and that patrons should use the east side door for assistance.
Later in the meeting, Commissioner Anthony Steckel moved and Commissioner John Miles seconded that the council go into closed session to discuss an employment contract; the roll call vote was unanimous. The minutes record that no action was taken in closed session. The meeting adjourned at 6:26 p.m.
