Director of Public Works Bob Manns announced that oil-and-chip work is planned to begin the second week of September. The announcement was given during the "Other Business" portion of the Aug. 6 meeting and was confirmed by the council.
The council then voted to enter closed session to discuss an employment contract and the sale of property; the roll-call vote to enter closed session was unanimous. The minutes state no action was taken in closed session. After returning, Commissioner Anthony Steckel moved to adjourn at 7:00 p.m.; Commissioner John Miles seconded and the meeting was adjourned following a unanimous roll-call vote.
