Jerseyville awards TIF commercial grants for storefront and alleyway improvements
Summary
The council approved two TIF-funded commercial grants Oct. 1: a $48,185 storefront renovation for 112 N. State St. with $24,092.50 requested reimbursement, and a $75,000 rear-façade project at 107/109 N. State St. with $25,000 requested reimbursement.
The TIF Advisory Board's recommendations to award commercial grants were approved by council. Brad Tonsor, owner of 112 N. State St., will pursue windows, lighting and painted brick work with a total project cost of $48,185.00 and a request for eligible reimbursement of $24,092.50.
Separately the council approved a Commercial Building Grant to Bartlett and Wittman Enterprises LLC for rear-fae7ade improvements at 107/109 N. State St.; the total project cost is $75,000.00 with a requested reimbursement of $25,000.00. Both motions passed unanimously as recorded in the minutes.
