The Jerseyville City Council voted unanimously Aug. 20 to approve a TIF Commercial Building Improvement Grant for façade improvements to Wells-Norris, Inc., located at 300 South State Street. Commissioner Steve Pohlman moved the approval and Commissioner John Miles seconded; the roll call vote was unanimous.
Director of Tourism Will Strang verified that eligible expenses for reimbursement would be $12,187.50, representing 50% of the estimated total project cost. Ms. Pat Norris, representing Wells-Norris, Inc., was present at the meeting when the council voted to approve the matching grant under the TIF Advisory Board's recommendation.
