The Jerseyville City Council approved a pair of road closures to accommodate Rock the Block on Friday, Aug. 16. Commissioner Anthony Steckel moved the road-closure measure, and Commissioner Zachary Crawford seconded it; the council set the street closures "from 1:30 to 10:00 p.m." and voted unanimously to approve.
Mayor Kevin Stork later reminded the public that the Rock the Block Concert "featuring Tanglefoot will be held Friday, August 16th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at City Center Plaza (near Germania Brewhaus)." The approved closures cover the Jefferson Street entrances to City Center Plaza and the alley from KC Hall to Dairy Queen to allow vendors and attendees to use the plaza safely.
