Residents urge action on temporary signs, cracked sidewalk and persistent barking dogs

President Newnam said the town would "take a look at the cracked sidewalk and determine what needs to be done to repair it and contact Mr. Mitchell to have the sidewalk cleaned in front of the Coffee Trappe."
Mary Anne Windsor told the council she has repeatedly called the Humane Society about dogs barking at a neighbor's property but that officers can act only when dogs are barking at the moment they arrive; she asked the town to consider limits on the number of dogs allowed on a property. Town staff said they would review the zoning ordinance for possible regulation of temporary signs and examine animal-control options and existing ordinances.
