Bobby Schmincher, the community liaison for Caruso, told the council the project has active building permits and that general contractor DPR McCarthy began ground-improvement and mobilization work on July 15.
"The building permits have been issued, for the project here in Warrenton," Schmincher said, adding the contractor will begin underground utility work in August and that site work will continue over the next few years as the buildings are prepared for operation. He said the company plans to launch a website with facts, FAQs and job postings for the Warrenton community.
Schmincher acknowledged concerns about dust, rock and truck routing and said he would contact the McCarthy crew immediately about loose rock; later he provided an email (bspoonster@carusso.ai) and phone number ((636) 359-5487) for residents to report problems.
Council members asked about the construction schedule and whether trucks could be rerouted; Schmincher said the contractor was trying to provide alternate exits and reiterated the company's intent to improve transparency and community outreach.
