Durham commissioners ask for January briefing on child protective services procedures after public complaints

Manager Hager said staff would circulate a broad framework this week and planned a January work session to present current procedures and answer commissioner questions.
The board did not take formal policy action at this meeting; it directed staff to prepare materials for a future session so commissioners and the public can better understand statutory limits and agency responsibilities.
