Durham County names Jamal White new Memorial Stadium manager

Durham County introduced Jamal White as its new Memorial Stadium manager during the Dec. 8 board meeting. Crystal Thomas, deputy director of general services, said White began his role on Nov. 10, 2025 and outlined his prior experience at Duke University, Longwood University and the University of Bridgeport.
Thomas said White’s first major assignment was the CIAA football championship on Nov. 15, 2025, which drew more than 6,000 attendees and proceeded without incident. White thanked the board and staff and said he was "looking forward to working with everybody, and looking forward to a successful job." Commissioners welcomed White and praised his calm leadership during a major event; the board expressed eagerness to collaborate on programming for youth and community use of the stadium.
