Board ratifies salary changes and one-time payments approved in closed sessions

The Board confirmed actions taken in closed session and ratified several compensation adjustments for unrepresented and management employees. Trustees approved salary schedule adjustments (including a 3% one-time off-schedule payment to many administrative and classified-management employees) and a schedule for longevity increments for employees at Step 20. The Oct. 30 special meeting ratified a tentative agreement between CUHSD and the certificated bargaining unit (CITA) and approved corresponding certificated salary schedules.
Board President Tony Turri announced that "there was no action taken in closed session," and the Nov. 20 minutes confirm the Board's vote to implement the salary adjustments described in the Oct. 30 closed session outcome. The Oct. 30 meeting record (special meeting) shows the Board also approved an addendum to move certificated negotiations to spring to better align budgeting forecasts.
