DPW reports progress on pole removal, paving reimbursements and campus maintenance

The North Main Street Pole Removal Project is underway and on schedule, with underground excavation complete and new wire being installed in new conduits; PSEGLI remains on the old poles and Superintendent Patanjo was asked to follow up. National Grid and the village agreed on paving reimbursement for Yoakum Ave., Hillside Rd. and Fairview Rd. where new mains will be installed.
DPW crews are removing hanging baskets and flowerpots, winterizing irrigation systems, preparing Christmas decorations, conducting hydrant flushing and performing routine vehicle maintenance. Security camera hardware installation is underway and cameras are being installed across village sites; Trustee Craig Rosasco thanked DPW staff and others for the Tim Collins sign dedication.
