Wells and SCADA: Farmingdale water operations report well statuses; Well 2‑3 awaiting county approval

Water Department staff told the Board that Well 1‑3 is fully operational and that Plant 2 Well 2‑2 is being operated manually to fill tanks, with the capacity to transition back to system operation if needed. The department said the SCADA system is nearing completion but is not yet fully functional at all wells.
Philip Ross Industries reported that Well 2‑3 will return to service as soon as possible but requires approval from the Nassau County Health Department. John Falbo explained he has been monitoring Well 2‑2’s overnight chlorine and pH readings (related to SCADA limitations) and is preparing a list of hydrants and areas to be flushed on October 17.
