North Main pole removal on schedule; National Grid agrees to reimburse paving costs on streets with new mains

Public works staff reported progress on several highway projects. The North Main Street Pole Removal Project has completed underground excavation and crews are installing new wire in conduits. Superintendent Patanjo and staff are following up with engineering firm H2M on Linwood phases 3 and 4 to obtain final plans; staff also noted crews worked at the 2025 Ryder Cup.
Officials said they met with National Grid and reached agreement on paving reimbursement where the utility installs new mains on Yoakum Avenue, Hillside Road and Fairview Road. Other operational items included ordering a new grate for Moby Way and continuing security camera installations (microwave links in, cameras installed in Lot 3 and Lot 4).
