Farmingdale trustees set March 18, 2026 election, designate Village Hall as polling place

Deputy Mayor William Barrett moved and Trustee Walter Priestley seconded adoption of the Village Election resolutions (RESOLVED #2026-10-12). The Board resolved that the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale will constitute a single election district, with the polling place at Farmingdale Village Hall, 361 Main Street, and that the next general village election will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The Board cited New York State Election Law §15-104(1)(b) in moving the date.
The Board further set poll hours from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., directed the Clerk to publish official notices in Newsday (scheduled for Nov. 10, 2025 and Feb. 22, 2026), and authorized the Clerk-Treasurer to rent and pay for a voting machine (ballot scanner) from the Board of Elections in Mineola unless all races are uncontested, in which case ballots may be canvassed manually.
