Council adopts mitigated negative declaration for large Beaumont drainage project

"It proposes to install, a 102 inch RCP through the Pennsylvania corridor," staff said during the presentation, noting the project's scale and connection to the Pennsylvania grade separation project. Staff added the study was circulated for 30 days and reported no public comments. After closing the hearing with no speakers, a council member moved to adopt the MND and MMRP; the motion was seconded and adopted on roll call.
Council emphasized the project's importance for flood control and coordinated future construction sequencing with the grade separation work.
