Town reports 8,000 sandbags on hand, contractor expects well to pump by Friday

"We had, I believe, 6,000 sandbags before. I got another 2,000 today. Have access to probably 10,000 more pretty easily," she said.
Public works staff Ben said Contractor Tester Contracting was wiring panels and installing a chlorinator and expected the well to be pumping by Friday pending bacteria testing and confirmation from the district engineer. "They're gonna have the well pumping by Friday," Ben said, and officials planned to run emergency lab tests to confirm water quality before placing the well online.
