Mayor David Porterfield reported two sealcoating/paving contractors and one public-works-certified contractor submitted bids for streetwork on 1st Street S and the City Hall parking lot.
Slender Paving quoted $28,850 for 1st Street S and $1,500 for the parking lot (plus $300 for striping). AA Sealcoat estimated $33,012 for 1st Street S and $2,381 for the parking lot. Treasure Valley, identified by the mayor as public-works-certified and meeting public-work job standards, quoted $30,000 for 1st Street S and $2,072.32 for the City Hall parking lot.
Council President Rob Hartsock requested the mayor or bidders provide length, width and depth specifications for each proposal so the council could compare costs on a consistent basis. No award or authorization was made at the meeting.
