Commissioners asked several questions about the cost, whether the developer should share fees, reporting cadence and whether the firm's work duplicates architect duties. Veritas' representative said the firm functions as "your eyes and ears" to hold contractors and consultants accountable and often identifies savings in change orders that can offset fees. After discussion a motion to approve the Veritas proposal passed by voice vote.
