How Fremont County’s 2026 mill levies are distributed across county and special districts

Deputy Assessor Angie Wilson walked commissioners through county, college, solid waste, weed and pest, and other county mill requests for 2026, saying combined county-related mills total 22.5 this year, down from 23.5 last year. The packet included a one-sheet summary and district valuations.
During the mill levy presentation, Deputy Assessor Angie Wilson itemized county-level requests: a general fund levy of 9.196 mills, library 1.258 mills, fair 0.309 mills, recreation 0.187 mills and museums 1.050 mills. "Countywide, our general fund is gonna be 9.196," Wilson said while reviewing the packet.
Wilson also listed other county mills and special districts: Central Wyoming College at a total of 5.5 mills (standard 4 plus optional and a 0.5 vote), solid waste at 3 mills, weed and pest at 2 mills, and other county mills bringing the county total to 22.5 this year, which she said is down from 23.5 the previous year. Commissioners received detailed district valuations and an attached one-sheet that shows total levies for each tax district.
