Wayne Brown, president of the Kremmwood Subdivision Homeowners Association, requested that Notus amend City Ordinance 7-13 (sections A1, B and D) to clarify how high tree limbs must be above sidewalks to be considered "clear", to require trash cans be kept in the street gutter rather than on sidewalks, and to add authority for the city to perform trimming and charge back the property owner when necessary.
Council did not vote on an amendment at the meeting but agreed to review the relevant ordinance language for possible changes. Councilwoman Lupita Connor expressed discomfort with the city charging residents for work and the potential for liens if unpaid; the council directed staff to place code review on a future agenda for consideration.
