The clerk told the board staff had initially denied Applications 2022-045 and 2022-046 "due to the lack of appearance of the applicant and no response." The clerk said staff later discovered a timely email from the applicant requesting a continuance, which prompted the request to rescind the prior denials and continue the appeals process. The clerk's explanation framed the rescission as corrective action to give the applicants an opportunity to proceed with scheduled hearings.
Board members did not take public comment on the item. The board’s action restores the affected appeals to the processing queue; the clerk and assessor's offices will follow up with notice to the parties about new hearing dates.
