Renewable-energy firm pitches no-cost rooftop solar and EV chargers to Compton

Tyrone Bennett of Supernova described a proposed power-purchase agreement (PPA) that would allow the city or private commercial hosts to receive rooftop solar and EV charging infrastructure with no out-of-pocket cost. "All that we provide is at no cost to no out of pocket cost to the client," Bennett said, adding the company provides a 30-year warranty, insurance and ongoing maintenance.
Bennett said Supernova does not lease or place liens on host properties and that estimated revenue from utility interactions would be split with the host. He invited council questions and said the firm could also provide fast DC EV chargers and needed a minimum contiguous area for certain installations. Council did not take an action but accepted the presentation for future follow-up.
