City announces Shredding Day, Drug Take Back and public hearing on vehicle grant

Mayor Koomar told council that Shredding Day will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the City Service Garage with Styrofoam recycling, hazardous household waste disposal and participation by Habitat for Humanity and Rust Belt Riders. He also announced a Drug Take Back Day at the Bay Village Police Station on April 25 from 9 a.m. to noon for safe disposal of drugs and needles.
The Mayor notified council of a public hearing set for 5:00 p.m. on April 7 in council chambers to consider grant applications for a new 12–14 passenger vehicle for the Community Services Department. The items were presented as community notices; no vote occurred on these announcements at the April 6 meeting.
Residents seeking additional information or wishing to testify at the April 7 hearing were directed to the City offices and the council chamber notice board.
